2010 Regional Transportation Plan Update

What is the Regional Transportation Plan?
The Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) provides a clear vision of the regional transportation goals, policies, objectives and strategies for an effective transportation system for Lake County. Updated every five years, the plan is required by State legislation. The plan guides decisions about all types of transportation, including autos, trucks, bicycles, pedestrian (walking), aviation, buses (public transportation), and the related facilities needed for an effective transportation system.
The Draft Lake County 2010 Regional Transportation Plan is now available for public review. The Draft RTP and the Environmental Checklist are posted here for public review. The public review period began August 2, 2010 and ends August 30, 2010. Two public workshops are scheduled for:
Tuesday August 24th in Lower Lake
4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at Lake Transit Operations Center at 9240 Highway 53, Lower Lake.
Wednesday August 25th in Lakeport
4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Lakeport City Hall, City Council Chambers at 225 Park Street, Lakeport.
Comments on the Draft Regional Transportation Plan can be submitted three ways:
(1) during the public workshops on August 24th or 25th,
(2) by mail to the Lake County/City Area Planning Council, 367 North State Street, Suite 206
(3) by e-mail to personst@dow-associates.com |
